RESULTS OF OUR EVENTS
APRIL, 2010
At our two weekend events in April we raised almost $10,000 which
means we will certainly surpass our annual goal once again.

Most of these funds will go directly to The Perth Food Bank, The YAK Youth Centre, and Food For Thought school breakfasts. We also support The Governor General’s Aboriginal Literacy Summer Camps (Snack Program) and the nutrition  program at Escuela de Sam sponsored by the Guatemala Stove Project of Perth.

Additionally, in response to the earthquake this year in Haiti, we will be making a special $1,000 donation to the “Haiti Meal Program” administered by Free the Children. To put that into some perspective, it costs approximately $25 to provide lunch for one Haitian child for an entire year.

Empty Bowls is truly a community program. Apart from the donors, there are many to thank for its success this year. Here they are:

EVENT SPONSORS
